It’s our 200th episode! To commemorate this milestone Tiny and I share 5 of our favorite TV shows and go into the episode we think are each show’s best, worst, and most representative of the series as a whole! Welcome to the latest installment of what will be a lengthy ongoing series of reviews on ObsessiveViewer.com.
Throughout my life, one of the largest gaps in my love of television (and frequent flirtation with science fiction) has been Star Trek. Now, by the grace of Netflix, I’m rectifying that injustice. My plan is to watch everything Star Trek related by the 50th anniversary on September 8th, 2016.

Throughout my life, one of the largest gaps in my love of television (and frequent flirtation with science fiction) has been Star Trek. Now, by the grace of Netflix, I’m rectifying that injustice. My plan is to watch as much Star Trek related content as I can by the 50th anniversary on September 8th, 2016.
In Scream’s fifth episode, Emma deals with the fallout of footage of her losing her virginity going viral. Meanwhile Jake and Will make me wish even more that they would just get killed off already. Continue reading →
Something that bothers me to no end is hearing people ask for a list of episodes of a TV show to “get the gist” of what’s going on instead of getting caught up. Likewise, it bugs me when people skip episodes and just read plot summaries. I know I’m probably weird and this is a very specific pet peeve, but I hold the long-form narrative structure of television in high regard and feel like it should be consumed in chronological order and with no gaps. The latest episode of Scream actually managed to surprise me. Episode 2 left such a poor taste in my mouth that I put off watching “Wanna Play a Game?” for several days. Hence, why I’m once again late with my review.

Daredevil is the first of four Netflix-exclusive Marvel series that will lead to The Defenders miniseries (which will also be Netflix-exclusive). It’s a tonal anomaly within the MCU since its Netflix exclusivity gives the studio more leeway in terms of subject matter. And, in that aspect, Marvel certainly did not hold back. Continue reading →
I really loved this movie. It's beautiful, joyful, and bittersweet. The musical numbers and dance sequences are really energetic and impressively choreographed. The ending is very moving in a way that I really wasn't expecting and the chemistry between Gosling and Stone is phenomenal. Loved it.
Holy shit, this movie was an abomination. The trailer presents a Christmas Carol style movie about a grieving man. But the actual movie is much more disturbingly cruel and is actually self-aware enough to comment on how cruel it's being. But it's still presented as a feel good holiday drama. This is a really perplexing and offensively terrible movi […]
Funny, endearing, and depicts change within a group dynamic in such an earnest way. Mike Birbiglia handles an ensemble cast of characters so well and gives each character their own dimension and motivations. Really dug the movie.
In this episode, Fekkes and I review Alien: Covenant and then Tiny and I review Hulu’s Batman & Bill documentary.
