I really dropped the ball this weekend. I intended to write and post this as a Streaming Saturday but I ran out of time. Then on Sunday I wanted to write it but only after I posted my review of its predecessor, The Collector. I thought I could squeeze in my weekly TV write up first, but that ended up taking a lot of time so alas, it is Monday and here is my review/Streaming recommendation for 2012’s The Collection. Enjoy. The Month in Movies: August 2013

August was a slow month for me when it comes to my movie watching. Historically speaking, it’s a slow month for me anyways. In years past I had the start of school drastically cutting back my numbers. Not to mention, I also have the beginning of the fall TV season to vie for my attention.

So August is always a slow month. However, this year I managed to squeeze in 17 movies. I would say that the absence of school in my life may have contributed to it, but this was my best August since 2008. I think 2008 may have actually been the last August I was in school. I’m not sure.

The Kevin Smith Retrospective – Part II

Yesterday I posted the first of three posts revisiting Kevin Smith’s movies. Today I’m here with part two, wherein I discuss Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jersey Girl.

This section was interesting because I had only seen two of the movies once before and I’ve never been a huge fan of Jay and Silent Bob as characters. I was eager to see how time affected my perspective of these movies.
