Here’s the latest ep of The Obsessive Viewer Podcast! I’m really excited about this episode. This week we had an in-studio guest for the first time since our friend Greg helped us kick off the podcast in June! Our guest was Chase Kahlo, one of the guys behind Indy PopCon (the brand new pop culture convention coming to Indianapolis in May 2014).

We had so much fun recording with Chase and we’ll probably have him back as the convention nears. And when I say he’s our first “in-studio” guest, I mean he’s our first guest in the makeshift studio I converted my brother’s sunroom into and use to record in while he’s at work. But all the same, it’s a great episode and I hope you like it.

Final note: Tiny’s mic was a bit defective so his voice is a bit off throughout. The problem has been rectified so next week it should be fine.

I hope you enjoy this episode and I hope you check out for a very comprehensive collection of podcasts you can listen to. While you’re there, vote for us for Podcast of the Month! It would mean a lot to us.

Don’t forget to rate us and review us on iTunes as well!

12/13 – Episode 30 – A Nerdy Conversation with IndyPopCon’s Chase Kahlo

(To download directly: Right Click the Above Link –> Save Link As to Download)

Matt, Mike and Tiny are joined by Chase Kahlo, one of the people behind next May’s IndyPopCon, Indianapolis’ latest pop culture convention. The conversation was originally supposed to be focused on Peter Jackson’s Tolkien adaptations but quickly became a more casual, nerdy conversation that covered everything from The Dark Tower, Star Wars and the Fantasy Genre as a whole to Game of Thrones, Ender’s Game and, finally, The Hobbit.

For the potpourri section, Matt revisits Pleasantville, Tiny talks about Lovelace and Mike shares news about the future of the Friday the 13th franchise.
