You can read my review of every Bates Motel episode here! Before I get to my (late again) review, I want to mention that Bates Motel was officially renewed by A&E for a third season. As with the first two seasons, I’ll probably review each episode. For now, let’s get to this week’s review.

This week Bates Motel aired its first season’s penultimate episode. “Underwater” set up next Monday’s finale nicely and provided a nice showcase for Vera Farmiga. (SPOILERS AHEAD)
“12 rooms, 12 vacancies.” I meant to post this yesterday but, in all honesty, House of Cards has taken over my life the past few days. I guess this week I’ve lived up to my online persona. This week Norman studied some taxidermy while a variation of a famous line from Psycho crept its way into the show. (SPOILERS AHEAD….)
After the Shelby mess is shoved under the rug, the motel gets its first (totally not shady) customer and we’re reminded that Norman is in high school. (SPOILERS AHEAD)

At the end of last week’s episode I was excited at the prospect of more Nestor Carbonell. Unfortunately, Sheriff Romero was busy investigating a burglary this week. Things are moving very fast in White Pine Bay.
