In honor of yesterday’s episode of The Obsessive Viewer Podcast, this week’s Streaming Saturday is the Chris Nolan mind bending noir film Memento. Before I get to talking about Memento, though, I want to briefly promote yesterday’s episode of the podcast. It was Part 1 of our 2-part episode discussing Christopher Nolan. I edited it “Memento-style” and it’s gotten a lot of positive feedback. So if you’re a Nolan fan, you should check it out and let me know what you think. Continue reading

I lost track of time yesterday and didn’t get a chance to post my Streaming Saturday recommendation. Honestly, the reason is because I’ve been so consumed with the new season of Arrested Development to stream anything new. Okay, that’s not the full truth. I’ve also been watching Dawson’s Creek. That’s beside the point, though.
This week I picked Tommy Boy. It’s really hard to believe this movie is almost 20 years old now. I caught most of it a few weekend’s ago and, like the millions of times I’ve seen it before, it holds up very well. Chris Farley and David Spade made such a strong comedy duo in the 90s. The less popular semi follow-up, Black Sheep was also a great display of comedic chemistry.
Tommy Boy is a great road trip movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can correct this injustice by streaming it on Netflix or buying it on DVD or Blu-Ray.
I’m starting a new weekly post. Streaming Saturday is going to be a weekly recommendation post for movies and TV shows that are available to stream on Netflix. So here’s the first of them. Enjoy. Continue reading
