Film and TV Reviews and Podcasts
Under the Dome has become a successful mystery series in that each week I don’t know whether I will write a favorable review or pick the whole thing apart while comparing it to another show. It’s been a very inconsistent show in its first eight episodes. Being an eternal optimist, I view this inconsistency as a good thing. If the […]

Last week my PS3 died a hero’s death. In the end, it went out doing what it did best, streaming Netflix so I wouldn’t have to eat my Honey Bunches of Oats in silence. As a result, I streamed Netflix on my laptop set up on a TV tray at the foot of my bed. With this set up, I […]

Last week’s Under the Dome was the closest the series has come to being what I hoped it would be before the series premiered. I went into this week’s episode hopeful that it would keep the momentum going. So did it? Read on to find out but beware. There are MAJOR EPISODE SPOILERS in this review.

July was another stellar month for me in terms of the amount of movies watched. My 29 viewings beat my previous record of 25 in 2010. It was a big improvement over last year’s all time low of 12 viewings. So let’s get to it…
In honor of the return of the best show on television next week, today’s Streaming Saturday is Breaking Bad! Next Sunday, the first episode of the final 8 episodes of the series will premiere. This week’s episode of The Obsessive Viewer Podcast has finally been posted. Our special guest Mike returns once again as we discuss sitcoms. We spent a solid hour talking up sitcoms and could have easily spent a couple more talking up the genre. Don’t be surprised if we have two or three more sitcom themed episodes in the near future.
