Daredevil is the first of four Netflix-exclusive Marvel series that will lead to The Defenders miniseries (which will also be Netflix-exclusive). It’s a tonal anomaly within the MCU since its Netflix exclusivity gives the studio more leeway in terms of subject matter. And, in that aspect, Marvel certainly did not hold back. Continue reading →
This whole movie just felt lifeless to me. The few emotional beats rarely (if ever) hit. Action scenes (particularly the space one) were solid. But that's really the only positive to this movie. I'll be sharing my thoughts on an upcoming episode of The Obsessive Viewer Podcast.
The Pokémon universe translates really well into live action. I would love to see more of this universe and more Pokémon battles, specifically. The CGI looked great.
